500g chicken pieces
1½ cups rice, washed
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tomato, chopped
2 tbsp oil
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
3 cups water or stock
Fresh coriander for garnish
Directions
- Heat oil in a large pot and sauté onions and garlic until soft.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.
- Add tomatoes and spices. Cook for 3–4 minutes.
- Add washed rice and mix well.
