Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ¼ cup heavy cream or pasta water

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain pasta.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and cream or pasta water.
  • Add cooked pasta and toss well.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
