Ingredients

  • 4 cups cabbage, chopped

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • 1 green chili, chopped

  • 1 tbsp oil or butter

  • ½ tsp cumin seeds

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 cups water

  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Directions

  • Heat oil in a pot and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  • Add sliced onion and green chili. Sauté for 2–3 minutes.
  • Add chopped cabbage and salt. Mix well.
  • Pour in water and bring to a boil.
  • Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes until cabbage is soft.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
