Chili Crisp Marinated Cheese
Creamy, spicy, and utterly addictive — Chili Crisp Marinated Cheese is a no-cook appetizer that turns simple cheese cubes into flavor bombs, thanks to a bold marinade of chili oil, garlic, and spices.
Origin Chili Crisp Marinated Cheese
Inspired by the viral rise of Chinese-style chili crisp, this fusion dish merges East Asian heat with Mediterranean-style marinated cheese, creating a new crowd-pleasing snack perfect for any gathering.
What I Love About This Recipe
It’s wildly flavorful with minimal effort. The chili crisp infuses the cheese with heat, umami, and crunch — making it the ultimate party bite or lazy snack with crackers or crusty bread.

8 oz (225g) firm cheese (feta, paneer, halloumi, or mozzarella cubes)
¼ cup chili crisp (store-bought or homemade)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice

Fresh herbs (like parsley, cilantro, or green onion), chopped
Salt, to taste (if needed)
Directions
- Cut cheese into bite-sized cubes and place in a jar or shallow container.
- In a bowl, mix chili crisp, olive oil, garlic, vinegar or lemon juice, and soy sauce if using. Stir in herbs.
- Pour the marinade over the cheese cubes, making sure they’re well coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, to let the flavors soak in.
- Bring to room temperature before serving. Enjoy with crusty bread, crackers, or as a salad topping.
Notes
- Feta adds a salty tang, while paneer or mozzarella offers a milder base.
- Use extra marinade as a drizzle over roasted veggies or noodles.
