Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose or pizza flour

  • ¾ cup warm water

  • 1 tsp instant yeast

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • For Topping:

  • ½ cup crushed San Marzano tomatoes

  • 150 g fresh mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil and mix to form dough.
  • Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover and let it rise for about 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to the highest temperature (around 475–500°F / 250–260°C).
  • Divide dough into two balls and roll each into a thin pizza base.
  • Spread crushed tomatoes over the dough.
  • Add pieces of fresh mozzarella.
  • Bake for 7–8 minutes until the crust is lightly charred and cheese melts.
  • Top with fresh basil and drizzle olive oil before serving.
