Ingredients

  • For Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp instant yeast

  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup warm milk

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup raisins or dried fruits

  • For Cross

  • 3 tbsp flour

  • 2–3 tbsp water

  • For Glaze

  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar syrup

Directions

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, spices, and salt.
  • Add warm milk, butter, and egg to form a soft dough.
  • Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
  • Fold in raisins and cover dough. Let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  • Divide dough into buns and place on a baking tray. Rest for 30 minutes.
  • Mix flour and water to form paste and pipe crosses on buns.
  • Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 18–20 minutes until golden.
  • Brush warm buns with honey glaze and cool slightly before serving.
