2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
½ tsp cinnamon powder
¼ tsp nutmeg powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 egg
½ cup raisins or dried fruits
For Cross
3 tbsp flour
2–3 tbsp water
For Glaze
2 tbsp honey or sugar syrup
Directions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, spices, and salt.
- Add warm milk, butter, and egg to form a soft dough.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Fold in raisins and cover dough. Let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Divide dough into buns and place on a baking tray. Rest for 30 minutes.
- Mix flour and water to form paste and pipe crosses on buns.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 18–20 minutes until golden.
- Brush warm buns with honey glaze and cool slightly before serving.
