1 lb (450 g) ground beef
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Gravy:
1 tbsp butter
1 small onion, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 cups beef broth
1 tbsp cornstarch
Directions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Shape into oval patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions and mushrooms.
- Add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the gravy.
