Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk

  • ½ cup sugar (adjust to taste)

  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder

  • Few saffron strands (optional)

  • 2 tbsp chopped almonds and pistachios

Directions

  • Wash rice and soak for about 30 minutes.
  • Drain and grind the rice into a coarse paste using a little water.
  • Heat milk in a pan and bring it to a gentle boil.
  • Add the ground rice paste slowly while stirring continuously.
  • Cook on low heat until the mixture thickens.
  • Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron. Mix well.
  • Cook for another 5 minutes until creamy.
